Storybook Camp 2022
Brandi’s Book Nook Storybook Camp is back and we can’t wait for your children to join us and learn new things! We will continue to let our love of books helps us explore “How Things Move and Work”. This will include robots, our amazing bodies, and some very special marine animals.
Our time together will include joyful greetings, an interactive read-aloud, and story-related activities aligned with educational standards. You can participate from the comfort of your home, or while on the move. Summer camp classes are live, online classes so, you can join us wherever you go, even while on vacation!
Swim With Me
July and August

Do you like to move? How about through the water? Join us as we explore creatures that swim in amazing ways. Some do the “drift and squeeze” and others do the “dive and flip”. Can you guess which animals these are? We will read stories about Jellyfish and Penguins. Learn the science of how they get through the sea and use physics to make an artic playground. As artists, we’ll create inspired crafts that can hang in our homes. Let’s stay cool together.

I -Am -A- Robot
July & August

Join us as we tinker our way into the world of robots. Let’s read fiction and non-fiction books about the different ways robots look, function, and move, or help us answer the question “Should I build a robot, or will it destroy everything in its path?” We also have exciting STEM and art projects planned. We will make robots that can clean, simple machines that can give us candy and so much more.

My Amazing Body

What amazing things can you do with your body? Join us as we explore our bodies and learn about how they move and grow. We will read books that explore different parts of our body and how they help us. We will also learn that as our bodies change, there is no need to be scared. Then we will become scientists who enjoy crafts and experiments that will help us understand our brain, stomach, and lungs, oh my!
