About Us

I am Brandi. I have been working in education for almost 20 years. I  have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and am certified to teach grades K-6 in NY and CA. I employ principles in designing activities that focus on making learning fun, engaging, accessible, meaningful, and with just the right amount of rigor. Some of my most dear classroom memories come from working with kids ages 3-8. They have an unbridled curiosity, honesty, readiness to learn and generally love to laugh. I have always had the most fun dancing around the room with them and working to build a caring community together. While living in Mexico from 2017-2019, I began to extend my experience to an online setting and most recently taught Kindergarten and 5th grade remotely in 2020. It has been a joy to design and lead classes with Brandi's Book Nook since December 2020.
